The apprentice will deliver a high-quality, professional service to Hull University Business School (HUBS), working as part of the HUBS Academic Services Support Team.
Flexibility is essential, as the postholder will be required to work across different areas of the Business School to support the different professional services teams and their apprenticeship learning requirements. This will include assisting within the Operations, Executive Support, and School Curriculum teams.

Description:
This is a wide-ranging role, exposing the
apprentice to various aspects of administrative and service support to
successfully deliver operational goals. The apprentice will be fully supported
so they can make a direct contribution to the smooth running of Business School
operations, working closely with academic and professional service colleagues. Specific
duties are likely to vary around operational needs, but may include:
- Providing
front-line reception duties, responding to enquiries in person, by telephone,
or via email through the Business School’s main reception. - Supporting
internal communication by helping to update the Business school SharePoint
site, gathering information for e-bulletins, and
distributing materials across the school. It may also include contributing to
external communications, such as collating key information and scheduling or preparing
social media posts. - Supporting room bookings, event
preparation, and meeting logistics for Business School activities. - Liaising
with commercial services regarding hospitality refreshments and catering
requirements for meetings. - Supporting academic staff resource
preparation for recruitment and student experience activities, including Open Days, Applicant Days, Schools and College
liaison visits, and other outreach activities. - Assisting
with post
handling, facilities coordination
i.e. maintenance requests, and general administrative processes. - Provide support across curriculum and accreditation processes,
including programme and module updates, continual monitoring requirements, and
the preparation of agendas and documentation for School meetings. - Support external examiner
and academic misconduct procedures, assist with module options
preparation, personal supervisor allocations and produce documentation in
line with standard operating procedures.
Other Information
This apprenticeship is delivered through work based learning, this means that all training is done at the workplace eliminating the need to attend college. The successful candidate will be allocated a tutor who will visit on site every 4-6 weeks and deliver all of the training to gain the qualification and provide the resources to complete work between visits.
